Our team works directly with schools to understand their needs, verify priorities, and provide meaningful educational support with transparency and accountability.
Step 1 — School Visit
Our Foundation team visits the school in person to meet the administration, observe the learning environment, and better understand the school and the community it serves.
Step 2 — Leadership Interview
We meet with school leadership to discuss current challenges, student needs, available resources, and the areas where Foundation support could make the greatest difference.
Step 3 — Needs Assessment
The Foundation gathers relevant information and assesses identified needs, which may include school fees, books, school bags, uniforms, learning materials, infrastructure, or other educational priorities.
Step 4 — Budget & Documentation
Our team reviews the estimated costs, available Foundation budget, and supporting information before determining what assistance can be provided. Photos may be taken during school visits to document conditions and Foundation activities, with appropriate permission when children are identifiable.
Step 5 — Support & Payment
Once support is approved, payment may be made directly to the school, by Foundation check, or directly to an approved vendor or service provider. Appropriate receipts and supporting documentation are maintained for transparency and accountability.
Participating schools are important partners in our Education Support Program. School administrations help the Foundation identify and verify educational needs, including school fees, books, uniforms, school bags, learning materials, and other essential educational expenses.
The Foundation works directly with schools to ensure that information is accurate and that assistance is provided fairly, responsibly, and transparently.
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their potential. Our Education Support Program helps remove financial and practical barriers that can prevent children from accessing or continuing their education.

Njainday Pullo Cham Foundation is officially registered in The Gambia and has been issued a Tax Identification Number (TIN) by the Gambia Revenue Authority.
We are committed to transparency, accountability, and responsible management as we carry out our mission to support children, schools, and communities.

Provides overall leadership and direction, oversees Foundation programs and operations, represents the Foundation, and works with the Board on major decisions.
Director & The Gambia Operations Coordinator
Participates in Board governance and provides local insight regarding Foundation programs in The Gambia. Coordinates approved activities and assists with local documentation and receipts.
Education for Every Child 🇬🇲
At the Njainday Pullo Cham Foundation (Aunty Pulo Foundation), we believe that a family’s financial circumstances should never prevent a child from receiving an education.
As part of our Education Initiative in The Gambia, we have already supported 97 children by paying their school fees and distributing school bags, with 14 more schools scheduled to be visited.
This initiative is currently 100% self-funded by our Founder. Our focus is simple: identify children who need assistance and provide practical support that helps them remain in school.

We know this is a big vision, and we are starting where we can — one child, one school and one community at a time.
We believe in being transparent about the work we do. As we visit additional schools, we will continue to publish updates on the number of children supported, schools reached, school fees paid, and educational supplies distributed.

Our team visits participating schools, meets with school leadership, gathers information, assesses educational needs and priorities, and determines how the Foundation can provide meaningful support based on available resources.
The Foundation intends to invite the following 15 primary schools to participate in the 2026–2027 scholarship cycle. A school will be identified as an official participating school after its acceptance and confirmation.
An intimate evening celebrating education, community, and the enduring legacy of Njainday Pullo Cham.
Hosted by the Njainday Pullo Cham Memorial Foundation, this special gathering will bring together friends, educators, community leaders, distinguished guests, and Foundation partners for an evening of connection, reflection, and celebration.
An evening dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of Njainday Pullo Cham — lovingly known as Aunty Pulo — and sharing how her spirit of compassion, service, and community continues through the Foundation.
Guests will learn about the Foundation’s work supporting children, schools, and communities across The Gambia, while celebrating the students, educators, volunteers, and partners who help make our impact possible.
The evening will also share the Foundation’s vision for expanding educational opportunities and community initiatives while continuing to build a lasting legacy of service and impact.
As part of An Evening of Legacy & Impact, the Foundation plans to invite 2–3 students from each participating school to join us for this special evening, subject to school coordination and parent or legal guardian consent.

We believe young people should have a voice in the programs created to support them. Their experiences and ideas can help the Foundation better understand what is working, what is still needed, and where our future efforts can have the greatest impact.
Student participation is voluntary. Parents or legal guardians must provide appropriate consent for a child to participate in the event and separate permission for any public use of the child’s name, photograph, video, performance, or personal story. A student may attend without being required to speak, perform, volunteer, or participate in publicity.

The Foundation works directly with participating schools to verify educational needs and provide approved assistance in a transparent and accountable manner. Support may include school fees, school supplies, books, uniforms, learning materials, and other approved educational expenses.
The Foundation’s Gambia team will work directly with participating schools to verify student enrollment, educational needs, school fees, and other approved expenses. Supporting documentation may include school fee statements, invoices, quotations, receipts, or other appropriate records.
Once assistance is approved, the Foundation may provide payment directly to the verified school or approved vendor/service provider. In some cases, an official Foundation check may be presented directly to the school during a Foundation visit.
No payment is dependent upon attendance at a Foundation event.
The Foundation will maintain appropriate documentation for educational assistance provided. Schools, vendors, or service providers receiving payment may be required to provide an official receipt or other confirmation showing the amount paid and the educational purpose of the assistance.
This allows the Foundation to maintain clear and transparent records of how its educational resources are used.

We are committed to protecting the dignity and privacy of every child. Photographs, videos, names, interviews, performances, or personal stories involving identifiable children will only be publicly shared with appropriate parent or legal guardian permission. A child’s access to educational assistance is not dependent upon agreeing to publicity.
Our current Education Support Program primarily works through participating schools and school leadership rather than through individual public applications. Families may speak with their school regarding educational needs and available Foundation initiatives.
No. The Foundation does not charge schools, students, or families an application, participation, processing, or nomination fee for educational assistance.
The Foundation’s work is currently self-funded by the Founder in loving memory of Njainday Pullo Cham (Aunty Pulo). As the Foundation grows, we may also pursue grants, partnerships, sponsorships, and other appropriate sources of charitable support to expand our impact.
