About our founder

“Khadija” Johnson is the Founder and President of the Njainday Pullo Cham Foundation, established in loving memory of her mother, Njainday Pullo Cham.

Khadija is a senior business and technology leader with extensive experience leading global transformation programs, managing diverse teams, and working across cultures and organizations. She leads AI business initiatives for testing across North America, helping advance artificial intelligence in testing, quality, and business transformation. Her work brings together technology, innovation, leadership, and practical business solutions.

Khadija is actively involved with Women in Technology and is passionate about mentoring women and girls and encouraging them to pursue opportunities in technology, education, business, and leadership. She is also involved in volunteer and community-service initiatives. Over the years, she has worked closely with military families and spouses, supporting and mentoring families through the transitions and unique challenges of military life. These experiences strengthened her commitment to service, community, mentorship, and helping others.

Why Aunty Pullo?

Njainday Pullo Cham was well known for making and selling school uniforms in The Gambia. When families could not afford uniforms, she provided them free of charge. Throughout her life, she also helped pay school fees and supported the education of many children.

For Khadija, the Foundation’s commitment to education continues what her mother had quietly done for many years. Following her mother’s passing, she established the Foundation to carry forward her legacy of compassion, generosity, education, and service. What began as a personally funded initiative has grown into a broader mission focused on listening directly to schools and communities in The Gambia and the United States.

A Message from the Founder

I know I cannot help everyone, but I believe we can make a meaningful difference—one child, one family, and one community at a time.

I established the Njainday Pullo Cham Foundation to continue the values my mother lived by: compassion, generosity, education, and service.

We listen first, understand priorities, and provide support where it can make a meaningful difference.

Our Mission

To support children and communities through education, access to clean water, and practical assistance that helps create meaningful opportunities.

Our Vision

A Gambia where every child has access to education, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.

We are starting where we can — one child, one school, and one community at a time.

Our Main Program Areas

  • Education & School Support
  • Clean Water & Boreholes
  • Community Support

Visit. Listen. Understand. Support.

Our Commitment

At this stage, the Foundation’s work is privately funded, allowing us to start small, remain focused, and build a strong foundation for the future.

Our priorities include education, access to clean water, and practical support for individuals and communities facing genuine need. While we cannot respond to every request, we aim to direct our resources where they can make a meaningful and lasting difference.
